at Maverick is a coach-led training class built to help athletes prepare for HYROX races in a fun, structured, and supportive environment.
As an official HYROX Training Center, we use these classes to help members and non-members train with purpose, improve their engine, build confidence in the race movements, and get ready for event day.
This class is meant to complement what we already do at Maverick. HYROX is not a training methodology. It is a fitness race. In the same way someone might train for a Spartan, Tough Mudder, powerlifting meet, or Olympic lifting competition, HYROX gives athletes another way to express their fitness outside the gym and work toward a real goal.
One of the best parts about HYROX is that it is approachable. The barrier to entry is lower for many people, and the format gives athletes of different backgrounds a clear target to train for.
Whether you are brand new to this style of racing, a current CrossFit athlete looking for a fresh challenge, or someone who wants to train toward the Tampa race in October, these classes are designed to meet you where you are and help you progress.
Classes are led by our HYROX Performance Coach, and are focused on helping athletes prepare well, train hard, and enjoy the process with a strong community around them.
Our goal is not just to help people finish a race. It is to help build a big group that can train together, show up together, and have a great experience doing something new.
