You will learn the proper technique and mechanics for each movement before intensity is introduced.
Walking into a CrossFit class with little to no experience with the concepts and movements involved would be about as smart as giving your car keys to a 14 year-old and telling them to drive somewhere as fast as they possibly can. So rather than throw you into the mix right away and hope you don’t get too frustrated, too confused or possibly injured, we require everyone to attend Foundations course to bring you up to speed.
Foundations is a 4-session course that meets on a one on one scheduled class weekly to prepare you to enter our ongoing group classes. The emphasis of the Foundation course is on skill development and exposure to our barbell movements, as well as to familiarize you with the concepts and terminology used in CrossFit. You will be hammered on technique throughout the program (and it continues in the regular CrossFit classes) to ensure your safety and your success as you progress.
